Cost per Mile

Featured Replies

Has anyone else done the calculation for the cost of running your Yeti?

What Car has it as a separate column, so I wondered how accurate it is.

I have an App on the iPhone that logs all vehicle expenditure, and having entered everything up to date I get an accurate MPG (43.8) and a cost per mile.

For me this is panning out to be 30p per mile - something I am pleased with. Obviously there is a bit of an estimate regarding the true "cost" of depreciation, but all other expenses, like tyres, oil, fuel, insurance, road tax, carwash, can be factored in.

Mine's a 170 Elegance with upgraded sound and metallic paint, and done 15200 miles.

Whats the app called out of interest? Id probably be keen to give it a try.

When I was ready to order I did the sums for the 170 elegance and the 1.8TSi based purely on fuel, tax and servicing over three years and that was before diesel pricing started going silly again :S Once the sums were done it was clear that the petrol 1.8TSi actually wasnt as comparatively expensive to run and I'd love to know how far off I am from those original calculations.

Hi

It's called FillPro Pro, and it's easy to use.

Give it a go!
