....what causes this?

If I get the DS2500 pads should I also uprate the brake fluid; I'll say that all my driving will be done on road (may be a rare track day if I'm allowed:rolleyes: ).

If I'm not going to do any track days would the Mintex pads be more suitable and which ones.

I always thought it was because kinetic energy from the car's motion is converted into heat

energy by the brakes. When the brakes are too hot to be heated up any more, they can't

dissipate anymore energy, so stop being effective.

I might be wrong in this, but hey, people are starting to catch up my post count now :D

There are 2 different types of brake fade; pads and fluid. They have different characteristics but the end result is the same - it takes ages to stop!

DS2500s will get rid of the pads fading but you may still boil your fluid (actually its more likely as your pads will generate more heat due to the increased friction). Personally I'd uprate the brake fluid, but I wouldn't go silly on it (ie you don't really need the Silkolene at
