Picked a set up from my local Vauxhall dealer the other week when it was freezing and had a hint of snow however never got a chance to use them.

Well this monring I got a chance to put them to the test. And the result

:D

Simple enough to put on however after the first use, when their nice and clean but it becomes messy as they get full of crap. So the gloves are recommended.

So this morning we've got a good 6inches of snow if not more. Where I live we live on a side road which hasn't been treated. So out they came. Result is I had more traction today (no wheelspin) then the other week when it was only a light covering of snow.

If snow/winter tyres are like this then I really want to buy some for next year.

When worth the £60.

Thanks for the heads up for the socks mate, I noticed a car was wearing a set today and don't look as bad as I thought so think I will be investing in a set of these.

Well they really are excellent. Would never have been able to get to work this week thats to Sefton council not treating the roads. Yesterday we noticed some very small wear from them when doing the pit stops. Still got loads of life left and no reduced performace.

Then last night came the big test. Towing my dads Jaguar XF out our street :) Its been stuck since sunday. Result was I had to turn off the ASR and use wheelspin to help pull him out. This is a big no no with the socks as it'll rip them to pieces. So they now have a few holes in them  . But their still working fine :)

One of the thing I like about them apart from the traction is the fact you have to plan your routes down the insane roads full of snow. No ones about as their sticking to the main roads so you have the fun of empty roads with stupid amounts of grip on the front and none on the rear
