If the EDL is engaged i.e starts to brake a spinng wheel does the ESP light on the dash flash?

I have just moved my car one wheel on snow other on clean ground, as expected the wheel on the snow span but a touch more gas and I began to move forward so I assume the system is operational.

There was no noise as the manual suggested I was just curious does this system act silently in the background??
