What is the wire in the tray under your stereo?

looks very good. Just read up on it - very nice bit of kit. Where did you get it fitted or did you do it yourself?

hehe, thats exactly where i ran the wire for my system. Drilled a small hole in the back of the tray and ran it through. Before it was in the glovebox but was annoying there.

Its the unput cable. Has a USB port, iPhone/iPod connector/charger, jack plug etc on it.

Excellent system. My wife's A3 has one (that I fitted :) ), the call quality on them is excellent.

It's a shame they don't have the voice control like the Bury CC9060, I think a device with the Parrot noise cancelling mic and iPod/iPhone interafce but with the Bury voice control and touch screen would be hard to beat!

The only gripe I have with the Parrot is that the iPod music only plays to the front speakers, but that might be to do with the Audi loom not the Parrot.

Annoyingly my Bury won't do music from my iPhone even though it claims to do A2DP.

My MKi parrot set plays through all the speakers - its very annoying because i've not unplugged the rear tweeters in mine as i prefered the sound with them plugged in but it faded forwards slightly - but unfortunatly you can't fade/balance the parrot kit.

arent you all worried and scrots nicking them? Anything shiny I like to put out of view...

The screen can be detached if needed.

Just got a local mobile fitter to do it, took him less than an hour and he did it in my work car park, so really convenient.

What he said

Just received the 8GB SD card I ordered in post today, so will be filling that up with music over next few days.

Will escape our madhouse for an hour tomorrow and have a play :giggle:

Same guy came back today and my reverse sensors are now fitted , cars 2nd present

Now for some LED number plate bulbs.

Looks good, I have one in my Vrs and have one specified to be fitted to the Scout pre delivery. I like it though it won't recognise my 30 Gb Ipod through Ipod connector (Too old) I can use it through the phono jack, but can't control it that way.

My wife uses it with the Iphone (enables bluetooth for hands free phonecalls then plugs it in for music play back and charging)

I notice you have a Blackberry connected to yours. I have seen Blackberry specific Mki9200 not sure if there are different MKi 9200 for Ipod and Blackberry, do you know?

Also, can you connect the Blackberry to the Parrot in order to access and play music whilst also having the Bluetooth active for phone calls?

I am looking at a new phone in the next couple of months, I am swaying towards the Blackberry, but only if I can use it for hands free/music playback/charging via Parrot system. If not I shall probably go down the Iphone route.

Have good Christmas.

Cyril

Can you have more tan 1 phone connected via bluetooth at once ?

No, just one phone connected at a time.

I didn't buy a specific parrot for Blackberry, fitter didn't know I had one till we practiced setting it up.

The one he demo'd from his car was with his i phone so I think they connect to both.

I know you can stream music via bluetooth so I'll try making a call etc, while doing that and let you know.

I know if you do this there is less control / display options that if you plug it in.

I'm guessing that you may be able to plug in via USB to access the memory card - will check that too.

Thanks for that, I take it there is a Blackberry to USB cable available.

If that is the case then I think it may work as an external drive/source with controls via the Parrot remote. If this is the case, and the phone can also charge via USB I may well be tempted with the Blackberry.

Not looked into them fully as yet so not sure on models etc. I take it that you like the Blackberry as a phone, as well as Email/surfing/organiser etc????

Thanks for reply BTW.

If you want multipoint then Fiscon and Bury are options.

Yes there is a Blackberry to USB cable, tried it today and it asked for a pass code to allow the memory card to be used, but I didn't have it (its a work issue phone so will get it next week).

Had no choice from work as Blackberry is only option for e-mails etc.

Works good with e-mails etc.

Mine doesn't have a decent call list of missed / received calls etc. showing details of time etc. - newer ones may have, worth looking into.

Glad to be of some help.

Also here's the cars 2nd present, got the reverse sensors fitted.

Fiscon doesn't support multipoint - well, unless they've updated it as I have a Fiscon and multipoint isn't on mine

They look great Rob.

I have the vRS Octy petrol estate in the same colour. The sensors look better than factory fit I reckon. (mine are lower down and pop in from the back, the seem to be held in with some sort of sticky tape and one of them regularly falls back into the bumper/skirt)

Think my next purchase will be some Xenon/Philips hi power bulbs. % months and counting till the Octy Scout arrives

Will definately look into the Blackberry for my next phone. Just priced up an Iphone, even with 18 month contract at £30 a month it is not a cheap option!

Cheers again.

Cyril

I have just had a Bury 6600 fitted, it does multipoint, plays music from phone via Bluetooth, & will read back texts sent, As its a new toy, time to go & play.

Just need the sub & stebel air horn fitting now & the new car is all tooled up. emoticon-0103-cool.gif
