help octavia diesel starting problem

i have just bought an 02octavia est 110 1.9 tdi,it has been running fine, christmas eve, after i had been out in it, i went to start it, 1 cough then just spins over.after the 2 nd attempt it started.since then it wont start, 1 cough then spins over but doesnt start.

i managed to get a garage to look @ it today, with help from easy start,

replaced heater sensor &, relay 103 [ glow plugs are working- a wire & bulb showed power to them for 14 seconds]

but it still doesnt wont to start,

can anybody help? with i dea's?

also it has plenty of fuel

Hi, had something similar happened to mine the other day, ended up being that the starter motor was on the way out, so might be worth a look. Got the new starter fitted, and now starts really easily. I was also at times having trouble starting if the engine was warm, this was also fixed by the replacement starter motor.

Relay 109 would be my 1st suspect.

just yet you know - apprantly the agr valve was coked up & had a crack in moisture turned to ice? sorted for now
