  1. I know this is an old thread, but does anyone happen to have the part number for these?
  2. Please note I used to have an octavia, but have a superb mk2
  3. I would not want to go any smaller than the 16s on there, I think it was just that the shocks were already on their way out and just got finished off by the pot hole, also the 16s only clear the calipers on my car by about 3mm
  4. I am running them at the full load pressures listed on the fuel cap, but have since caught the back wheel in a horrendous pothole which has caused the rear shock on that side to have problems so now looking to replace all the shocks and possibly springs as well
  5. Currently on a set of 205/55r16 crossclimate 2 XL tyres I am not 100% sure on the rim width. It is mainly just that the car just does not have quite such an immediate response when turning the wheels, which is what I expected when fitting the winters, was just looking to see if there were options to improve it that would also make the car handle even better once back on the 18 inch summer alloys. On a side note, Not sure how it would be possible to fit snow chains due to the clearance on the inside of the wheels as the 16inch rims only just clear the disc brakes
  6. I have always found the car handles well, was more just that I had moved to my winter tyres and was looking to see if it would help with making the steering more precise to kind of make up for the larger sidewall on the 16 inch rims with the winters on Will look at upgrading the springs and dampeners as well
  7. Just realised I was actually thinking of the front upper strut brace, not sure why when I typed the question I put the wrong one
  8. Just wanted to check if anyone here has fitted a front anti roll bar or similar, and if they had what difference it made and what needed modifying to allow it to fit.
  9. One of our neighbours used to have a campervan with H8 WRK
  10. Currently have a mk2 superb on my winter wheels (16 inch) definitely helps with absorbing the bumps, but the car does not feel as positive, on the 18 inch wheels with the 40 profile tyres it feels like it is on rails
  11. Had ordered a new loom before the posts with the links to the repair kits, have done a temporary repair on mine using crimp connectors, and will fit the new loom when it arrives, but if any of the others go bad, will either get the repair kit or just solder in replacement extra wire.
  12. Just had the same problem on mine, is this one that is best done by the dealers or can most independent garages do it as well, also what did it cost for others to have it fixed?
  13. Just got a superb, where the stereo is in a reboot loop, does anyone have links they could pm me for the firmware and maps discs 2009 superb, unit picture attached
  14. I currently have a Octavia 2009 Octavia 16.TDI that I would like to retro fit with a MFSW, just wanted to check which parts I would need. I also have a Pre-facelift MFSW, and know that the airbags are different, would it be possible to fit this, or would I be better off finding a Facelift MFSW. The info from my Steering Column is that it has a System description J0527 053 Hardware Version of 1K0953549CQ Software version 0111 Coding: 0000034
  15. I have a similar question, but going in the other direction, as I have a Pre-Facelift MFSW that I would like to fit to my Facelift octavia, although would also be happy with fitting a facelift one with MFSW as well if I can find one on ebay for not too much.
