skoda fun immobiliser fault

Featured Replies

hi i have a skoda pickup fun 1999

over the xmas period the imobilisor has gone wrong and the car would not start i have tried the spare key but the enigne still wont start.

the enigne turns over and the lights on the dash do as they should but there is no spark from the coil.

i had a mate plug his computer in and this confirmed that is is the imobilisor stopping the engine from starting.

since i have owned the car it has always only started with the key in the ignition skoda badge up with the key upside down it wont stat as per the fault above. with the key in the right way up, uptill now it has always started first time.

Im guessing its the barrel or the ecu at fault??

can anyone help me to disarm it so i can get the car moving again.

thanks for taking the time to read and any coments would help allot.

Tom
