adding bluetooth to my Columbus

Featured Replies

I have a spiffy RNS510 unit in my Octavia and it has a "Phone" button on it. I would dearly love to add a BT module to it to make this work as I hate having things that tease me! How hard would this be to install? And what do I need to buy?

TIA,

Nik

There's a couple of options

1) Talk to Ben at Shark Performance (shark_90 on here) as he retro fits OEM bluetooth kits

2) Get a Fiscon unit

I'd probably go down the OEM route if I was looking now, just that when I got my car the latest OEM unit didn't support the standard Hands Free Profile whereas the latest ones do and you get media streaming over bluetooth too. The Fiscon supports this but it's a bit of a kludge and if you want voice control on the Columbus you need an OEM mic as the Fiscon one isn't supported...

I got my kit from Car-Systems in Poland - Quick Delivery and works with voice control etc. The link is for the white Maxi Dot they also do one for red.

Link.
