Well we picked the vRS up today, standard Raceblue with no options.

First Impressions....lots of power, made a fool of myself pulling off the drive when i hit the brake going for a clutch hit my hand on the horn andstopped very quickly much to the amzuement to the family stood on the front next door viewing the house for sale!

I'll second that Bullyboy! Although hopefully mine's only 2 - 3 weeks away now as it was at the docks this week...

Well i was going to go out for a drive tonight, but the mrs is giving me grief "its just a car"

Averaging 31mpg around town, which isnt too bad,

DSG is going to take some getting used to especially as I will be going between Manual and DSG every few days!

But really nice car, totally different beast to the old vRS, its impossible to compare the two, the cloesest car to the old vRS is the ibiza fr tdi

Much the same i look forward to seeing the pictures to, mine "fingers crossed" should be built next week so some pics and first impressions will keep me going

Well first long ish drive down to manchester and back, what a little car, tried to run it in, but did kick down once and hit the red line...oops (at least the engine was nice and hot) got 38mpg whic wasnt too bad, cant wait to get a few miles on it and get my foot down

Only photo I have is it sat in the dealership!

Its now covered in road salt :'( going to jet wash him tomorrow and get some photos up tomorrow hopefully

Not nearly as embarassing as wheel spinning away from traffic lights in the middle of a busy town centre because it's slightly damp and 1st gear is very close ratio to those who haven't driven it before (I have learnt since)
