de catting

Featured Replies

right guys my cars in getting painted at the moment once its been done i need to find the funny noise its making and then im going to de cat it ive been told that by doing so chances are it will throw up the engine management light are there any ways to stop this ie resistors fittted or can it be turned off with vag com or can comander

Mine's de-catted and I've never had an EML.

You can get spacers that push the 2nd lambda out of the flow so it reads different to the 1st one if there is a problem.

Or it can be mapped out by a tuner.

i currently get a eml on now and then from removing sai n249 and n211 aswell as evap canister but usually just says low flow so it will just be another one to add to the list

I have the cell for SAI, N249 and N112 removal, but never got a cell with my decat pipe.

i've just had a de cat done and got the guy making it to weld an extra bolt on for the sensor so it spaced it out rather than hunt for a proper spacer
