hi all might sound abit thick but here go's

i have a columbus 3t0 at the mo and running firmware 2724 & v6 mapping,

trying to put v7 mapping on but not loading,

1/ do i need differnt firmare ie 276X firmware (if so can someone send me a link)

2/ when loading the disc i take it i leave the ingnition off put the disc into the unit and let it run for approx 55minns (should the disc egject or should a message apear on the screen,

I HAVE READ LOTS OF THREADS BUT ITS NOW DRIVEING ME MAD

Put the disc in and go for a long drive, failing that it could be a bad disc, copy the image and re-burn as slow as possible using something like imageburn and it should work, make sure that you use good quality DVD-R preferably branded. mine failed for hours with the ignition off, completed next morning when I drove 10 mins to the childminders!

il give it ago tonight when i go out

just tried loading it to see if it would load into temp file but it just loads and the navi come up with the same info as v6 map ie not post codes,

i take it from reading more threads my firmware should be ok

.............excatly had the same problem as described by vwdan1986 ...........so i made a new disk and then let it run/load as loading took a while.............so maybe the first disk was ok after all but i expected it to load straight away so when it didnt i just thought it was badly burned ..........second disk everything ok i just put it in the car and left it came back after 30 minutes and it was asking to save data etc.............

..i have HW:H05 SW:2684

PART NUMBER: 3T0 035 680 A

upgraded from V6.1 MAPS to the v.7 no problems at all...........in regards to software instaling v.7 maps and loaded them with the ignition off you should though see a message to save data.............

:: still no postcode search comeing up do i need to change firmware

Postcodes are entered in the City input box, are you saying that you are only getting part postcode entry or none at all?

Your firmware should be fine.

SHOULD I LOAD 2760 FIRMWARE AS APOAED TO 2724 WHAT I HAVE AT THE MO

OK JUST BEEN OUT AND TRIED TO INPUT POSTCODE IN THE CITY SECTION BUT ONLY DONE PART POST CODE,

this is the disc i have europe west v7 IT0.051.859.K

I know for sure that V7 maps and full postcode works with 2684 firmware (firmware number will always end in 4 for Skoda, the unit will select the correct version from the disk) and also with 2764 which I am running at the moment.

ok people im happy NOW. in the end i had to reburn the disc at a lower speed now full postcode working,
