been doing some testing on a private proving ground

and to my amazement between two set points (around 1/2 - 2/3 mile i think but haven't measured yet) both the nova and the octavia reach the same speed :eek: 120mph, i think the octavia reaches the finish line first due to the better launch but for them to reach the same speed surprised me.

the octavia is standard at the moment apart from clutch/flywheel and DV where as the nova is completely stripped with a big super high flow exhaust and revised air intake with better flow and upped fuel/boost but higher boost to come soon so hopefully once jabbafacation is complete soon the octavia will crush the nova but time will tell

tbh it kinda makes sense when the octavia has a power to weight of around 100 bhp/tonne and the nova has around 114bhp/tonne, the torque figures are approx 104lbft/tonne and around 160lbft/tonne. the nova should really fly when the boost has been upped from 0.8 bar(12psi) to hopefully 1.5bar(22psi), so watch out fabis vrs's(standard) here comes the nova!!!

I cant quite understand how two cars can reach the same speed over the same distance but one get there before the other? Unless of course 120 is top speed for the Octy

well i thought it would because the octavia launches so much better, just floor and drop clutch and all is simple after that where as on the nova you have to feeding in the power to stop it shredding tyres and yes it still looks like a heap of crap, because it is
