iPod won't play through aux socket

Featured Replies

Hi all

My 2008 Fabia3 Combi/Estate always played my old iPod Nano 3rdG absolutely fine through a generic retractable iPod-to-3.5mm plug off eBay.

I've recently got a new iPod Nano 5thG (in preference to the newer 6thG Nano). This will not play through the car aux socket using the same cable. I plug it in and it either plays through the earphones, or through the tinny iPod speaker, but not through the car stereo. Any ideas, as I do a lot of motorway driving and I'd dearly love to be able to play my podcasts and audiobooks on the car system? It seems strange that it work with one iPod and not another...

Many thanks

Xenia

Yep, you need a 3.5mm jack to 3.5mm jack cable and plug in through the earphone socket - got mine through the dealer as they were one of the cheapest emoticon-0144-nod.gif
