Just TRYING to say HELLO

Featured Replies

We are asked to say Hello ,but which I find extremely difficult as using this site one just goes round in circles? So whether this post gets " off the ground " remains to be seen. However assuming it does, after a wait of 7 months I took delivery of a 140 CR Superb Esrate having traded in a L & K Octavia Estate 130 PD, which I had had for 7 years during which time I only put 27000 miles on the clock and with which vehicle I was very happy. It took quite a while in mileage terms before the MPG got to where the official figures were realised so I assme the same will happen with the new vehicle. The Octavia did 35 mph for 1000 revs pm and had plenty of poke. From what I can make out, the Superb ( 6 speed manual ) does more than that on a flat bit of motorway, at 2000 rpm the speedo shows 78/9 mph, from which I assume Skoda have upped the gearing to circa 39 mph per 1000 rpm?. Does anyone know if that is the case or can anyone from Skoda comment please. Thanks Tony R PS hello btw!!
