When I ordered my vRS, they only did the Anthracite Grey on the LE - but that was the colour I really wanted.

But recently, with all the bad weather, I saw an Anthracite one - and decided Race Blue held it's looks far better when dirty.

As someone who rarely cleans his car - I can confirm that Race Blue Vrs keeps its looks when filthy!!

Dirty car???

Whats that?

I have an Anthracite car and it keeps its looks quite well on the rare occasions it gets filthy

My wifes Fabia (Rallye Green) is very good at masking dirt

Not sure I understood the question when i first read it - are you asking what looks "cleanest" even when its dirty ie what colour covers up the dirt well?

In my experience a silver car is best (and that's how i've voted).

In reality i'm not bothered about covering up the dirtyness of the car - its its dirty, so what? I actually think my candy white estate looks great when its mucky..

The dark colours need to be polished and shiny to look good (especially the black) IMHO.

The lighter colours can still "pop" through the dirt, though the yellow tends to look paler when dirty. It's fine with a bit of splatter but rather dull when evenly covered with rain spots and grime.

Probably blue or white then.

+1 for silver, I have had silver cars previously that could go for weeks and still look clean. I can also confirm that Black looks carp when dirty, which in this current weather is generally the day after a full detail!! :wall:

Having gone from silver to Corrida Red and now Anthracite, I reckon the Anthracite doesn't show the dirt anything like the others. I recently left it nearly 4 wks/2000 miles between washes-mostly salty UK motorways & A roads, & it still looked OK.

Having said that, the colour of wheel can make a huge difference IMO-I had black steelies with me winter tyres on. I know of one bloke who now & again only washes his wheels & the whole car looks cleaner immediately! :giggle:

Red was a PITA-stunning when polished up, but looked grimy very very quickly.

Outrageous, you should be ashamed of yourself! :wonder: :giggle:

Try telling SWMBO that......she's officially diagnosed me with car cleaning related OCD :)
