I am pretty sure that's not a CAT. That's gonna be your DPF!

Cats are only £100-200 each. DPF (diesel particulate filter) a lot more.

Reason to avoid the 2.0 TDI!

Cheaper option is to get it "deleted". There are companies around who can remove it and fool the ECU into thinking it is still there. No more worries then!

As long as it passes the smoke test at MOT.
