Hi

After removing my plastic engine cover on my mk1 vrs i noticed the 3rd from left thingy (see pic below marked with a blue up arrow) was loose and higher than the other 3. so i pushed it in. now i have engine warning light on!

Why is this? could it have something to do with my new dv? (i was fitting it at the time, its a copy of a forge 007p)

so what are the four things marked with up arrows? and is it a problem to move them? helP! :o

They are coil packs, they sometimes pop up and pushing them down is good. I doubt that is the cause of your engine light, more likely a boost problem are you sure you fitted the dump valve the right way??

I think you are on about the coil packs, you might have disturbed one and now need your engine light reset.

Best thing to do is ask on here if there's anyone with a dianostic scanner and ask them to scan the car for you and also turn the light off

its a coil if i'm seeing the same arrow. and yes sometimes they will pop up a bit, get the spark plugs checked to make sure they are not loose.

the light may be from the new dv . but unless you get the fault code read it could be anything

Phew!

It can only fit on one way surely? I put the valve on the same orientation as the stock plasic item, reconnected all hoses, would this cause an engine light to come on?

can't tell for sure without getting the code read that put the engine light on
