It was necessary to compare it the Fabia2 and it Octavia2 the communication of can.It was necessary to find them the can titles what are missing from Fabia but they are needed for Columbus function inevitably.

It was necessary to prepare a module what Fabia canbus puts these absent titles up,plus lets in the communication of the car.Excuse me my english...

Ok,but your Fabia facelift, my car veteran :) 2008 :another can bus system.

I have a 2011 Fabia Greenline II. It does not have the maxidot display like other cars (Octavia, Yeti etc...) just an LCD type thing.

But how easy is it to fit a Columbus as a stand alone working unit in place of the stereo?

should be an easy retro-fit dealer could put it in easy, but you would have to change the antenna on the roof though

You could always put the gps antenna hidden under the dash, I did that on a mkv golf and a A3 Audi

On our Yeti I've put it under the dash and it's always worked fine so far.
