Question re SE interior trim

Featured Replies

Hello fellow Yeti folk.

My dad will shortly be ordering his next new car and it has come down to a choice between a new Golf or a Yeti Greenline. I noticed in the brochure that the interior picture of the SE model shows a light grey plastic on the interior door trims. Being a fairly useless brochure, the colour of the interior plastics are not confirmed. Can somebody tell me whether the interior plastics on the SE are light grey or all black as with my S model? Thanks

Our SE(born Aug 2010) has black plastic, with just a felt panel above the armrest in dark blue to match the seat trim.

Thanks bohmer, much appreciated. Looks like another example of a misleading photo in the official brochure.

Next thing I need to establish is the lead time on a new Greenline. Guessing it's not going to be short!

There's also a blue theme; unfortunately I don't have a close up of that.

Lots of other pics here SMOC phto group

For a GreenLine I guess September if ordered now :o However I think VW are having similar issues despite I imagine prioritising themselves and Audi for components.

Personal view but I'd prefer the wait for the Monster over the Golf

Thanks TP, the pictures are perfect

I think that the Yeti has the edge over the Golf, particularly as my Mum prefers the higher seat position. The car would be a standard + metallic spec and so hopefully that would speed it up. Unfortunately his current lease car goes back in June and so if the wait is far beyond that then the Golf will probably get the nod. Lead time on the Golf was quoted at 3 months in December. He is going to make a phone call tomorrow to the lease company and so we'll see what they say (although I have already told him that Yeti lead times often get shunted back from the original prediction). Unfortunately I won't be able to steer the deal James's way this time :(
