Drivers electric window....

Featured Replies

Came to open the car this morning and found the drivers window half open. Result one very wet door and seat :swear:

I notived yesterday that when I closed the window, it reached the top and then came back down about an inch as if it had met an obstruction. Did this two or three times and then stayed shut, until I found it today. When I tried to close the window, it went up and then wound halfway down again. The only way to close it was by taking it right down to the bottom and closing again. This works but the autoclose from the door switch won't work now - you have to hold the switch to close the window. Its only the one window affected all the others are fine.

Anyone any idea how to cure this? TIA for any help.

Andy

I read on here somewhere that you now just make the window go (manually) up and down twice and that will reset it so that the Auto function works again... My memory might also be failing me, but that is what I remember and sorted something similar in my Audi once. emoticon-0144-nod.gif

Thanks for the reply. Sadly no joy. Also found that the drivers window won't work if I hold the remote buttons down. Will keep trying.

Thanks once again

Tried that, still no joy. Then read the manual. The reset sequence is on page 49! and that works.

Thank you for your kind replies

Ah!!! I knew there was a do-something-twice thing that gets it right! For future reference to anyone searching and finding this post:
