What about a Turbosmart Compact Dump Valve?

Featured Replies

Hi people,

Im looking into gettin a dump vale for my octavia vRS MK1 i got few day ago. Ive heard about the Forge Split-R (which i like sound of but not the settin up bit - would know what im at) and the 007.

But ive seen a Turbosmart Compact Dual Port Dump Valve for sale (part No FGBOVKTDP25) and was wondering if this would be good as you can wind it to recirc or atmospheric :)

Anyone run one of these?

Cheers

I need a dump valve as well. That curry last night, phew!

Too muchinfo lol

Those adjustable valve are a bit of a gimmick tbh

The 1.8t is designed with a recirc in mind, so I would stick with one those if it were me

Ok cheers, would like a nice whoosh noise i can hear though. would i get that with the 007?

If you fit a cold air induction kit then yes, with standard airbox it's pretty quiet tbh.

I had a Turbosmart plumback DV on an Audi A3 Quattro, which when set to hard was certainly louder than a 007p. It was already fitted on the car when I bought it, but I think they cost over £200!

I bought a re-circ valve off ebay for £35, new. Looks OEM (Standard) but compiled with a pipercross panel filter i get a nice "ptshhh" noise which is not too quiet but not in your face like a normal dump valve. Perfect imo.
