Ordered L&K, CR, DSG, front parking sensors, blue at beginning of Oct. First told week 16, then dropped to week 3 and then build week removed, but told yesterday that the new build week is week 7 - the week after next. So here's hoping things stay on track.

Mate I really feel for you. I posted a new topic above, regarding bad info from skoda. I have heard there is problems with diesels, not sure why. Is the compensation anything to write about or are they trying to fob you off??

I think it's disgusting that you have to wait that long for a car! You could have a house built in that time  .

If they keep this up the Skoda will loose out on customers - folks might accept that wait for a nice show off Audi or VW but I bet many would be Skoda buyers are put off by this issue.

Ordered a Scout TDI in Sept for delivery in February, then March, then week 19 and now build week removed.

Trouble is that Skoda have completely underestimated the demand for diesel engined cars and there seems to have/been a problem with component supplies for the diesel engines. Bearing in mind that Skoda also have to dip their hands into the big supply pot of engines along with Audi, VW and Seat and you see that there will be problems with demand outstripping supply. The petrol engines don't seem to have such supply issues, that is why you will hear stories of petrol engined cars being delivered within 12 weeks of ordering.

Indeed the problem appears to be the supply of diesel engines across the VAG companies cannot keep up with demand. Skoda dealers have been offering cash incentives to people who have ordered diesels to change the order to a petrol version.

A collegue in Germany who recently bought a VW Tiguan 2.0 diesel told me this morning that VW had stopped taking orders for this model as they can't keep up with the the current orders.
