Indicator Bulbs

Featured Replies

Just had the mental ticking to tell ne a bulb was dead. So I bought a bulb and changed nsr. Drove off indicated right and other one went instantly.

Is this normal behavior ? The lights in kitchen do this regular. Once one goes they all start within a few days.

I'd probably say it was a coincidence :D

Have you got a multimeter? Try checking the voltage on the bulb (might need a fast responding one though).

Its very typical with headlights, tail lights etc.. due to them being switched on for equal amounts of time and having roughly the same expected life. As for indicators they are more likely to go front/rear in a similar time. Left and right blowing at the same time is pure coincidence.

both my brake lights seems to fail within a few days of each other, never had the tail side of one break though. Thinking about it, I have never actually had a failed indicator bulb (in any car), and Octy-girl has clocked up a fair few miles (and yes, I do use my indicators :wonder: )
