Can you advise how to drain water from fuel filter (new octy).unit has no bottom drain ,it looks though as it might come apart at top via ring of screws,i will not disturb it until i understand it more.its different from my previous Passat,thanks in anticipation.

Hmmm. Anything I should be looking out for when changing the TDI fuel filter too? I've got to fit my new one in my car a.s.a.p. 60k miles isn't far away at all now.

If it is the new shape Octavia you have no need to touch it unless youve done 20,000 miles and even then it should be done on its inspection service.
