When i bought the fabia 6 months ago i replaced the swing radio with a columbus navigation and put the swing radio for sale.

The other day someone told me they want to buy the swing radio so i decided to see if it still is ok before selling it to the person.

When i connect it all i get is a message SAFE on the front screen and nothing else happens(i would expect it to ask for the code).

Anyone got a clue why???

Yes that is what the radio will do when you first reconnect it and it doesn't know where it is. You will have to follow the instructions in the handbook to enter the code and then it should work OK.

...thanxs ian i google it and found some other posts explaining some ways of entering the code ,as the swing radio manual dosent relly mention anything...will keep this post informed if it works and what i had to do for other incase...
