New Octavia owner query

Recommended Posts

Had ordered a 2006 low mileage Dsg L/K Octavia, after surfing to investigate how good the DSG was for towing ,I had some concerns, I have now opened up my piggy bank and ordered a 20I0 Diesel 140hp Elegance manual and feel much more confident I have made the right choice. I appreciate that caravaners are not the most popular poster on Briskoda, But if I could ask if any one has a fixed tow bar and if it causes problems with the reversing sensors. Cheers

I got a detachable Westfalia tow hitch for my Octavia . My Passat fixed tow hook was alway picked up by the sensors. I'd recommend you go detachable.

No problems with my fixed bar, not seen by reversing sensors. Specialist contractor employed by dealer to fit prior to delivery.
