Febi Bilstein droplinks? Any good?

Featured Replies

Need to replace my front droplinks as they are knocking all the time.

Are Febi Bilstein ones any good? I have theire wishbone bushes in and they seem OK. I presume they will be a fair bit cheaper than the OEM ones too.

Are they not same make as OEM, I could be wrong thoughemoticon-0148-yes.gif

I thought the OEM ones were Lemforder?

I've ordered the ones from the dealer anyway, only £23 plus vat.

If Febi aren't original equipment, they should be just as good. I think that VAG have fitted them a lot across the range of models over the years. I have them on my Octy and would have had the arms too if a certain parts supplier had supplied me with what I ordered instead of TruPart (I think that's what they were, they're off the car and back in the shed now!)

I fitted a pair of Febi Bilstein bottom arms to my step son's BM around 18 months ago, now I have always rated Bilstein as being top notch, BUT 18 months on and the one ball joint is completely knackered!

I think Lemforder own Febi, or other way round.

PIcked the droplinks up today. Didn't realsie how heavy they were.

Not mention of Lemforder of Febi, but it does say TRW on the rubber seals at each end. Obviously has the VW/Audi stamps on it too.
