Cannot acces "Select map details" option on Columbus...

Just fitted a Columbus to my Octy and it's all pretty nice but I do have a problem - if I go into setup and choose "Select map details", I get a message on screen saying "Please wait..." at which point the unit seems to hang. The only way to get out of it is to do a reset.

Does anyone know why this is? Is it a firmware issue? I have fw 3800 with v7 maps (Columbus is 3T0 035 680 A)

Sounds like a problem with the POI database which is read when you select that option.

Firmware 3800 requires V7.1 Maps, as the POI data stored on the V7 maps is not compatible with FW 3800.

Oh man...that does not sound good!!!

So is a 7.1 map upgrade the only way to solve this? I'm guessing downgrading firmware to one that is compatible with v7 POI's may well have potential pitfalls...?
