Missed my old MK1 vRS so much I've decided to go back to the car I always loved.

Totally standard for now.

Nice, smart move!

Is that the old Phaeton crying in the background?

Is the vRS petrol or diesel?

Thats the Phaeton...

Petrol of course. Soot chucking is a thing of the past...

that is some move to make....Enjoy the new motor..out of interest what was the Phaeton worth?

I dont really want to say what it was worth, but it hurt!

Probably had to add money to Phaeton sale price to get the Octy? ;)

Driven a V10 Touareg, very good engine, but the A8 with new 4.2 tdi was awesome.

Good luck

Problems with the Phaeton or just fancied a change?

Would be interesting to know what sort of figures it cost to run over the time you had it.

The depreciation on the phaeton is intergalactic, and I guess why you were able to buy one as it had already lost a shed load of money.

Enjoy the new car, and welcome back to the Skoda fold. Many have come, gone and come back again and that includes me.

Well done for having a Phaeton to begin with! They are amazing machines. My friend just bought a W12 one and it is truly amazing.

Welcome back to Skoda!

Welcome back,

There arn't many people who can say the once owned a V10 Phaeton.

Blimey, that's a surprise!

Welcome back to Skoda

Reason for change? Fancied something different, prefer something sportier, running costs etc? :)

I'd be keen to go from Octavia to Phaeton one day, the V10 oiler must be quite a machine :)

Combination of running costs (ie diesel) and the fact that I no longer own a caravan so towing is no longer required.

I'll be honest that the PHaeton was the dream car I always wanted. I've owned it and done it but the car that always talk about even with the wife was my MK1 VRS. Since that car Ive had a Superb V6 TDi and the Phaeton but they've never "hit the spot" shall we say as the old MK1.

So far, signs for the MK2 are promising. :) My wife has named her Brenda....
