Service at VW - Good Value?

Featured Replies

I've just had my car ( 3 years old) serviced at my local VW dealership (who are also an authorised Skoda Service garage) and wondered if I'd got decent value for money. It was a 40,000 mile service and included long-life oil, air con service & brake fluid change. They collected the car from home and returned it after 4 hours and gave me a voucher for a free MOT + voucher for 10% off any parts I might need. Total cost £305. If this isn't reasonable, I might consider going to my nearest Skoda dealership - but it's 30 miles away. I've got to say I was well pleased with everything from booking the service to collection and return.

It sounds reasonable to me. I used to have a Honda Civic 1.7 CTDI that cost more to service every year at the dealers. You also got a 10% off voucher to use for next time which is very good. I got nothing like that from Honda, so be happy!
