My front right c.v disintegrated all over the road yesterday and had not been clicking/cracking/knocking at all?

It suggests you need a new CV joint.

Don't worry about it, they're common failure points on the Superb/Passat.

Go to GSF they do a kit with all you need for about £35, or it's £80+ for just the joint at Skoda, the kit is called a GSP kit and comes in a blue box, and do read the instructions if you plan to change it yourself.

Or go to a good car repair center and they can do it and you wont get your hands dirty ...might cost but saves a lot of grief
