Right i have had my car remapped now for a couple of months. I decided to go for a shark remap overall i have been very impressed with it but i have noticed that the car holds back if you know what i mean.

For example it will pull smoothly round the rev range in 1st and second gear, but in 3rd 4th and 5th it feels like the car is holding back its hard to explain but it pulls hard then it backs off then pulls hard again this continues all the way up the rev range its more noticeable in 5th. Its quite hard to explain but it feels like something is strangleing the power for a couple of seconds then it runs on full boost then off the boost this continues through the rev range. Its not noticeable in 1st and 2nd gear though. I hope i have described it as best as possible but its a weird one you would probally have to drive the car to notice it.

Yesterday i replaced my pipercross induction kit with a standard airbox this has made it better but its still noticeable. I also had a good look at all the hoses yesterday i couldnt see any that were split or damaged. I also have a compbrake dv i was planning changeing the spring inside for a yellow one to see if that helps.

Any other opinions welcomed

could be the spring in your dv being too soft. Try that first.
