Hi everyone,

My name is Derek and i'm new to the world of Skoda. Picking up my first Skoda tomorrow, an Octavia VRS TDI CR, it's also my first car ever running on "the black stuff".

Been a long time Ford fan and have owned about 40 cars (not all Ford !) in my 22 years of driving. Have been getting a bit bored with Ford so time for a change.

Have been lurking around the forums for a bit researching and now that the car is arriving it's time to sign up.

Very interested in some ecu remapping action and it looks like Shark Performance are the people to talk to, although, I would like the facility to have a handheld programmer to remove map when required and I read that there is a protection issue with the new ecu's. fingers crossed a solution can be forund.

Looking forward to meeting some interesting people at meets in the future.
