Quick fire round

Featured Replies

Just a quick question. Should the central convenience module click when you operate the central locking?

I'm still hunting for a solution to my central locking issue and need to know. I didn't notice it before, but need to know from someone with a car that works if it clicks when you're inside the car and lock it using the fob.

I pinched the photo above from the internet, but the one I removed and inspected looked pretty much the same. It seems okay, but things can fail without a visual problem. Could this be a reason for the driver's door not working?

I've changed the door lock, the whole door loom, the circuit block on the door regulator and still no joy. Frustrated is one way of putting it.

I've never notice any kind of clicking sound, be be the sound of a relay or some kind of warning sound.

This is one of those situations where I never noticed anything before either, but now it's definitely there. I removed the box and the clicking stopped. By my very limited powers of deduction, I assumed the clicking came from the convenience module and might be a sign of something wrong.

Which relay would click when operating the fob? Should one click when doing this? Or is there a relay built into the convenience unit? So many questions. :giggle:

Just open yours and have a look if you see any corrosion/burn marks

Could this be the cause of my driver's lock not firing do you think?
