I've managed to get a hold of a superb interior light to have a go at the well talked about Cat Vision mod. However all of the guides/discussions I've found seem to recommend wiring the extra (4th) wire for the LED's into the constant live (?) sidelight wire.

Id like to wire it into a dimmed live, has anyone done this or know which wire I could use?

On an Octy II, there is no dimmed live as it's all done on a PWM basis to dim the LED's.

So does that mean its not possible to dim the LED's with the rest of the dash illumination?

I've done this on both my Octavia's and the LED's are not that bright. You really don't notice them unless you look at them.

So dimming isn't really need anyway. OK thanks very much folks.
