Garrett Turbo and New Intercooler

Featured Replies

Just had a new Garrett turbo fitted and intercooler. The standard pd130 Garrett as my kkk went pop. The car now smokes alot less and seems to pull slightly better (its remapped). Any reason for this it smoked loads with the kkk turbo from when i bought the car. Thought the turbos were pretty much the same?

You say u have a new intercooler fitted?

Boost leak may explain the smoke and that it pulls better

got it from turbo technics for £510 i think exchanged for my dead turbo. Replaced it with a garrett as they are supposed to be cheaper. When they took my turbo off though the turbine thing had snapped into bits and shot them around the system so i had to replace the intercooler as well. It cost me a fortune
