2003 (53) Octavia vRS

Featured Replies

Hi Everybody

Up for sale, sadly is my vRS. I have owned this car for 8 months and well, to be honest i can't afford to run it. I pay £220 a month in insurance and spend £80 in petrol as i work so far away and it has all come on top of me! Need something more economic.

The car has covered 5000 miles in my ownership, mostly motorway. I bought the vRS from a friend and it only covered 300 miles last year as he also had a repmobile, you can see this from the MOT's.

Engine;

It hasn't missed a beat, it had a full service which cost £300 a month after i bought it, Oil, filter, fuel filter, all that jazz.. all receipts etc. The only only thing i have had to do is a new front springs (double checked correct ones for vRS). Both Lambda sensors replaced, throttle body cleaned and re-set. The secondary air pump is noisy on start up but this is an easy fix, i just havent got round to doing it yet, literally the only thing i can pick out!

Grooved discs and Pagid pads on 1000 miles ago.

Engine bay is very clean.

Body/Interior;

Good condition, small scratch on O/S/F wing, couple stone chips as you would expect, no dents.

I am meticulous with the up keep of the paint work and exterior trim, snow foamed, washed with detergent and waxed every weekend, and polished once a month, it's become a running joke with my family how clean i keep this car!

The interior reflects this - no one ever sits in the back and carpets are still white with no stains. No rips or scratches in the leather at all.

Other..

Tyres, i will have a brand new set of budgets put on the car, the tyres i have on at the mo are coming to the end of thier wear so won't be spending £450 for the new owner and add it too the price, i don't think this will help me sell the car! Spare alloy has never even been taken out and is as new with the original Contisport Contact on it, If you don't want budgets (i wouldn't!)i won't put them on and the price of the car is minus £180.

You'll notice the ABD CAI in the pictures, this won't be included in the sale unless you want it, as the airbox is going back on the car next week.

Mileage - 94,500. Cam Belt due again at 125,000. Full Service history stamped in the service book, some main dealer in there too. Have all the original owner handbooks. MOT to July 11, 6 months tax, loads of MOT history, happy to put a new MOT on for buyer at thier cost before purchase.

No HPI or outstanding finance on this car.

Any inspection welcome.

£3250 PX considered - something German, under 2.0L, diesel manual - see why i'm so sad to be getting rid of it...!
