Comtrend Powerline ethernet adaptor 200Mbps x2

Featured Replies

For sale we have a boxed and new pair of Comtrend Ethernet Adaptors.

Although I've never set them up or used them I believe

they enable you to have an ethernet input socket in your bedroom for

instance or anywhere else you have a 240v socket.

I've seen similar items selling on ebay for around the £40 mark.

There is 1 ethernet cable in the box. I think you also need a wireless

hub to make them work.

I can't really answer many questions on this item as I'm not the

techy type but if anybody has a clearer explanation of what they

are and what they do then feel free to post so that the information

is in this thread.

£25 inc delivery.

Paypal gift please.

These literally use your house mains circuit to connect a network together, ie they send the signals around the house. They are good if you don't want to have cables running around your house.

These are very easy to set up and reliable. As above great if you don't want to run cabling to a certain room etc...

Good price too people!!!!

Cheers

Dave.

I hope the OP will not take offence at this post, but these Comtrend adapters should NOT be used. They were subject to a recall late last year due to an electric shock risk.

These adapters were given out to BT customers (I had a pair) who were subsequently contacted and told not to use them, but to return them to BT in a free post-paid envelope. They were replaced (FOC) with a different type (black case and green dot on it).

Full details of the safety recall are here:

The OP may well still be able to get them swapped out for free by BT.

Bull that I've been using mine for over 2 years and no problems

Can confirm that you can still get them swapped for free. Had my replacements arrive today after ringing up about the recall last saturday.
