Putting car back to standard

Hi

As insurance costs are increasing there seems no reason to leave the remap and exhaust on my car. Can anyone tell me where I cAn get it put back to standard and also how much this would cost?

To be honest, it'll probably cost more than your insurance to put it right properly.

The people who did the remap will usually put it back to standard for free, a Skoda dealer can certaonly over-write any map (call it £30 for that) and you can get an exhaust at any Kwik-fit type outlet. I think the genuine Skoda one isn't more than £200 fitted for a complete exhaust system (cat back).

How much has your insurance gone up?

I could get insured on a standard car for £150 less than the remapped car. The exhaust I imagine doesn't put that much on the insurance . With insurance increasing all the time it really doesn't seem worth it.
