My friend has a 06 1.9tdi manual superb,last week the relay for the climatronic started to click constantly, he ordered a new one thinking it was a faulty relay, but after a couple of hours this has started to click,the fan is working on and off and making strange noises.He finds if he turns aircon on it stops the clicking for a while but it will only blow hot air,anyone out ther have any ideas,he is going to get a diagnostic done on the car this week.How easy is it to get to the fan,and where is it located,thanks.

is it the relay? i have had problems with my climate due to a faulty control panel but I believe the v71 recirculate motor can give a click behind the dash when faulty. The panel being broke threw up faults with all the motors in the system. A vag com machine should sort it though!!
