Hi all,

Day before yesterday, myself and the missus drove the new car back home from the UK, (November 2005 Superb, 1.9 PD 130 Edition 100, 73,300 miles). All well. No water problems, great condition, great service history etc etc. Of course the parking sensors are faulty but that doesn't bother me much, and the sound system isn't great (too many mid/high frequencies), but apart from that it's a cracker. Handles like a boat but I'll spend most of my time on the motorway, and as the car ticks so many other boxes it's a great compromise.....Booked in for a full service and complete check up on monday (not expecting any bad news), and after that I'll do it all myself...

Thats all really, but I'll post any news as I get to know the car more.

I just picked up my new (well, 2005, 54 plate) Superb PD 130 this morning too

I've dropped it straight round to my local friendly VAG indy for the full service, and he's going to clear the plenum chamber and reseal the pollen filter housing for me. I asked if he used the VW OEM mastic tape and he just laughed. "Not at £38 a roll we don't – just ordinary bathroom sealant." Sounds good to me

Is there an Edition 100 register on here, if not there should be. I picked up mine last weekend, haven't had time to give it a good go over with the cleaning wand yet.

But so far it has sucessfully carried a ten foot tree back from the garden centre plus 22 cocncrete blocks, 2 bags of cement, 3 bags of building sand, 4 bags of ballast and 12 bags of pea shingle from the local Wickes (of not all in one go though)!

If you phoned before 6pm wickes would have delivered it the next day !
