Outlook Connector Problem

Featured Replies

For the last 9 months, following the installation of Microsoft Outlook connector I have been been using Outlook to access incoming and outgoing mail through my Hotmail Account.

This has worked perfectly OK until today, when Outlook began having problems synchronising with Hotmail. I get the following report:-

Outlook Hotmail Connector Version 14.0.5117.5000

I can still access the Hotmail account going through Internet Explorer and the inbox today had quite a few new entries.

Yet when I switched to Outlook they wouldn't transfer.

Any ideas ?

I have had a similar problem, since allowing the latest updates to install for windows.

I solved it by opening outlook, deleting the e-mail account, (this will not affect anything held on Hotmails servers itself), then setting up the account again in Outlook. This seems to sort out the problem, which is due to duplication somewhere and it then can't synchronise the two accounts, one at Hotmail and the second on your computer, which should be identical.
