VRS CR Juddering?

Featured Replies

Hi Guy n Gals a Skoda Newbie here. I have a 58 plate VRS CR TDI since Nov last yr and noticed a couple of times now the car seems to judder when stationary.. it seems to be in the early part of the journy and once fully warm it stops.. it doesn't happen all the time though... anyone know what this is and should it be a trip to the dealer? DM Keith Leeds is my closest.

Cheers

Can anyone help? Sorry i forgot to say it's an Octavia on original post

Seems like the dual mass flywheel is on its way out. I'm on my second. They are a weak point

Ok thanks mate. I've booked in dealer tomorrow. I had a search on the forum this aft and found one or two posts with fly wheel problems causing symptoms like mine... I would expect this to covered by the warranty?

Well it went into dealer today and they found nothing wrong but wouldnt check the DMF as nothing appeared to be wrong from thier tests... I'm not overly happy with this but the problem is its intermittent so difficult to pin the garage down to do anything.

I'm going to keep an eye on and if it happens more regularly or many more times i'll be leaving with the dealer overnight and demand they investigate fully as no doubt it'll break when warranty goes in oct :(

I previously owned a Mercedes diesel which had the same problem - particularly apparent when cold and if you attempted to accelerate hard in first or second gear. The car fortunately was still under warranty and they replaced the DMF and clutch.
