POWER DROP

Featured Replies

Slight problem, noticed a power drop in performance this morning with car (57 plate octy vrs tfsi stage 2+) full story is i did a scan last weekend and it came up with a fault :mechanical fault with divertor valve: i cleared the fault and drove it all last week but today it went off power just felt dull (feels as though there is very litte boost) no recorded faults as yet in system. do you guys think it could be divertor valve giving the issue. the valve was changed about 2 years ago for the newrer type. Phil

Sounds like it, was it changed for rev D?

Take it off and check it.

no ive just found out on my history its got the 06f145710g fitted, is the d version better?

The D revision is the one off the S3 but it is the most reliable one as its a piston type. There are plenty of threads on here regarding this and on the Mk5 forums. I have my old DV in the garage which I changed for the D revision last year. It still works if you want try that before buying a new one. I only live down the road and work in Mansfield if thats any help to you?

Off topic, but nice to see other local VRS drivers.
