octavia mk1 - horrible leather

Featured Replies

I have a MK1 octavia L&K 02 plate with a tan leather interior. My problem is that much of the leather used is not very good quality. The centres of the front seats are quite plasticky and the drivers seat is particularly worn. Can anyone recomend a a company in Scotland that may be able to match the leather and replace the centre section of the drivers seat? Also whats the best way to clean the leather in these cars? I have ordinary leather cream but it just slides across the surface.

hate to say it, but thats what you get with skoda, cheap leather.

A retrimmer will cost a lot, as a suggestion why dont you look for a golf mk4/leon mk1 or audi a3 interior, not only will it be better quality leather overall, but they will also pobably be cheaper than a retrim (sets go for around £300 on ebay) and will be a more supportive and comfortable seat allround

Yes that sounds ok. The Recaro leather seats from the mk4 4 motion are very nice and indeed use a better quality leather and probable would go straight in. However the door panels are likely to be different in their fitment which wouldnt be a problem as the door panels in the L&K are quite smart. Changing just the seats would be tempting but unfortunately the Golf ones are cream coloured and the L&K is a sort of Vommit Tan. Hmmm back to the drawing board!

Think shark_90 has a half leather l&k interior for sale in the sale section for £50 might be worth getting that?

get door cards retrimmed,

mine are black leather, on a vrs and match my s3 interior, looks like a proper vag car now
