I'm trying to learn about DOT 5.1 fluid. I've seen it mentioned in a lot of the threads when upgrading brakes, but whats different about it, and how does it work better than normal fluid?

Fitting the upgraded brakes in the next couple of weeks, so wondered if upgrading the fluid would be worthwhile?

There is some useful info in it on alternative spec brake fluids.

less prone to air ingress and better with heat i think. so better for fast/track driving

Rather than open a new thread, I was hoping someone could answer me the simple question of whether the Fabia vRS already has steel re-inforced hoses like the link DGW posted suggests the Octavia does???
