Carbonio air intake

Featured Replies

i have been thinking of treating myself to one of these intakes.

are they worth buying ?

apart from looking wonderful do they give any benefits to performance or sound ?

where is the best place to buy one from ?

if i get one should i fit it before my shark remap ?

Hi Bettsy,

I think its mainly looks in the first instance; although when you take the stock intake assembly out you will see that the Carbonio does ensure a greater amount of air is directed to the air filter and MAF sensor.

I have one fitted on mine if you want to have a look etc.

I got mine on ebay and it came with a "free" pipercross filter.

I'm in Baildon.

Cheers,

Ste.

Spend the money on an ITG induction kit. Widely regarded as the best intake or induction kit around the moment.

Dont bother. I bought one when i first bought my vRS and it made .......no difference. Ans its not cheap either. Second the ITG intake. Awesome power gains, awesome quality and awesome sound.

Are you running TFSI or TSI vRS, as that will dictate what ITG or any other induction kit you have an option to use

hi ste

thanks for the offer but i think i have been put off the idea.

i was hoping for a little induction roar but sounds like it would be a waste of £200

any kind of induction will make a difference on a TSI VRS, trust me. The new setup is quite different to the old, and the main restriction is the airbox.
