Mk1 vrs will this work?

Featured Replies

Ok so I have been looking all day on line at different dump valves ect, I know the forge 007p valve is good for the vrs engine but I want a loud bov sound will this valve work? HKS SUPER SEQUENTIAL BLOW OFF VALVE? With a cai? If not what's the loudest and safest valve? Thanks all.

Most BOV's will throw up a fault from what i have read , the forge split-r is what you'd be looking at for sound imo  however i have read that a 007p plus a cai will have an increased noise over standard

i have both.. and YES you will hear a far louder noise from the dv from the echo effect of having the larger LAN pipe ;)

My ebay special cai with the compbrake valve sounds nice n loud too

What kind of bov and cai would you say is the best?

its really down to personal choice but im running a forge 007p along with a BMC CDA filter and it sounds sweet

Ooh that's funny, why didn't I think of getting one of those

That is just awful :giggle:

Why the interest in noise using a "Jap" type crappy BOV? They do not work well on the VRS for one thing, sound ****e for another. The VRS and 1.8t engine needs a recirculating DV, somthing like the Forge variants already posted.

If you do want noise with a decent set up designed for the car, then at least go for something like a:

Forge 007p,compbrake or Bailey Recirc type.

Either one of those with a decent CAI is going to give you enough noise to hear from outside the car if that is what you are after. It is mainly the CAI that helps the DV generate the noise.

FYI I have the Forge 007p and a ABD CAI, and that is a sweet combination.
