Any experiences or opinions on Hertz and Rainbow speakers

Featured Replies

Folks,

I am looking to upgrade the speakers in my MK2 FL Octavia.

I don't want amps, subwoofer in the boot, all that carry-on. I had all that when I was younger, and I want a child (and wallet) friendly option this time!

I don't want to change the head unit over either, so just replacment for the standard door speakers.

My local installer has recommended Hertz and Rainbow speakers, but i've never heard of these brands before so I would welcome any experiences or opinions for fellow briskodians!

Cheers

Andy

Talkaudio forum would be a good starting point for you mate.

Andy,

KTP has rainbow comps up front in his Fabia and they're very good indeed :)

He's out your way too if you ever crossed paths for a listen.

Went down to my local car audio emporium on Saturday afternoon and had a bit of a listen to the rainbow & hertz speakers on one of their stands.

I thought the Hertz speakers were a fair bit better than the Rainbows, they just sounded clearer and had less bass distortion when turned up.

I think I am going to get the Hertz speakers fitted, front and rear, in a couple of weeks.
